At Bespoke Gypsyboot, we choose to return to the traditional way of shoemaking

We have abandoned synthetic soles and man-made fibers that suffocate the feet and burden the Earth. In their place, we embraced leather and natural cork — materials that breathe, flex, age beautifully, and return to the soil when their time is done.

“We use only natural materials underneath slow craftsmanship because that’s what our bodies — and our planet — need.”

99% of other manufacturers use Goodyear rubber Soles & welt stitching. We use only leather & cork. Cork molds to your feet using only eco-conscious craftsmanship. Each pair of our boots is hand-welted.

Back in the 1800’s when rubber soles were introduced. We lost our grounding, so we chose to return, reconnect, and walk a more natural path.

Gypsyboot carries forward a tradition of excellence. Rooted in the same boot-making heritage synonymous with Northampton, England — birthplace of icons such as Loake, Crockett & Jones, Cheaney, and Barker — each pair of Gypsyboots is handmade by skilled Romani craftsmen, located in Northern India.

Every pair reflects the artistry of hands that have passed down their knowledge through generations, working only with the finest natural leathers and cork, free from synthetic substitutes. Gypsyboot stands as its own: a boot where authenticity, heritage, and quality converge to create footwear built to last a lifetime. But With out the man made materials and rubber soles ! Stopping us connecting to mother earth

When We Lost Our Grounding

  • 1839: Goodyear patents vulcanized rubber

  • 1876: Plimsolls introduced in the UK

  • 1892: U.S. Rubber Company markets sneakers

  • Early 1900s: Rubber-soled shoes become widespread

But with this convenience came a cost...

Health Lost in the Name of Progress

Reduced Breathability

Traps heat inside, causing sweaty and uncomfortable foot conditions.

Trapped Moisture

Moisture stays in, leading to odor and bacterial growth.

Chemical Exposure

Synthetic materials may trigger skin irritation, rashes, or allergies.

No Grounding

Artificial soles block Earth's energy, disconnecting natural foot contact.

Environmental Damage

Plastic-based soles contribute microplastics and pollution to ecosystems globally.

Non-Biodegradable Waste

Synthetic shoes persist for centuries, harming soil and wildlife.

We took a step back

Into nature. Into the materials our ancestors walked in: LEATHER And CORK

Natural Cushioning

Cork molds to your foot, supporting arches and distributing weight.

Shock Absorption

Naturally reduces joint strain during long wear and movement.

Breathability

Keeps feet dry, breathable, and free from moisture and odor.

Eco-Friendly

Harvested from bark — no trees are cut, fully renewable.

Our Products

Made by Hand. Built to Journey

Every Gypsyboot begins with a quiet promise — not just to your feet, but to the legacy of true craftsmanship. We don’t rush the process, because the best things are never made in haste.
